Client Description:

Historically our client has been a product oriented, silo type, sales organization. With the acquisition of several companies and addition of many new product lines this global wireless hardware engineering and manufacturing corporation is now re-organizing into Technical Markets with a focus on broader sales relationships. With nearly billion in global sales, and a strong background in proprietary products, the company now offers a wide range of wireless hardware products and services throughout these markets around the globe. The technical markets include wireless handheld devices, telematics, consumer electronics, and RF networking systems.

Responsibilities Will Include:

Our client’s traditional distribution interaction is being split into two separate divisions. We require a high energy leader, with the majority of focus on the USA distribution houses, to assume responsibility for the wireless product market. The Distribution Marketing Manager will be the guiding force, transforming the sales team from transactional to a relationship selling mindset.

Well respected and well connected, this Manager will work with and within the organization matrix, supporting the company’s RF product distribution sales, adding value to the relationship and sale, working out new pricing, and bringing new customer interaction.

Requirements:

1. Experience selling to the big wireless distribution houses such as Tessco, Talley, and Hutton.
2. Successful history of OEM sales to RF distributors or in a wireless distribution house.
3. leadership skills
4. Experience with wireless hardware products preferred.
5. International experience with distribution houses preferred.
6. Location in St. Louis MO area preferred. ****
7. extensive travel
8. Degree – BS in Business or Marketing – or- technical with business skill & savvy.
9. Self-starter, self-motivator, independent.
