Client Description:

Responsibilities Will Include:

Our current search is for a Regional Director for the Western Region. With a solid commercial and technical understanding of our client’s product and value, this Director will develop and manage the regional sales people and manufacturer’s representatives. A candidate with well balanced experience in the target markets – defense, aerospace, telecomm and industrial - rather than concentration into one sector is highly valued.



Expectations are to:

- Support the sales team with development of sales plans and follow up actions, providing feedback and coaching to ensure success.
- Monitor bookings, opportunity funnel, performance in completion or actions in above plans.
- Determine any additional resources needed to further penetrate Western Area and put together business plan to justify.
- Bring new relationships in the wireless and optic connectivity markets.
- Identify ‘outside the box’ niche business opportunities, develop & present proposals to develop that business.

Requirements:

- 3+ years managing direct sales people successfully - Regional Account/Sales Managers
- 3+ years managing external sales people successfully - Mfg Rep Managers.
- 5+ years experience with the sales of components and/or sub-systems to Wireless carriers, Defence Contractors, Industrial OEM’s as well as Test & Measurement and Medical manufacturers.
- Background in RF, Microwave, and Fiber optic products.
- Home office located in Western USA – (southern CA, AZ, NM, or western TX)
- 4 yr degree technical – or - business with technical experience.

Salary Range :
