Client Description:
This client is a world class engineering and manufacturing firm specializing in RF interconnect components. Its customer base are the telecommunications, aerospace, military, medical, and automotive markets and has manufacturing capabilities on three continents.
Because of its depth in the coaxial connectors market it has been able to offer the widest range of high performance products in addition to patented technology and innovative hybrid designs.
Recent growth through organic expansion and acquisition has brought customer expansion and career opportunities.
Responsibilities Will Include:
The immediate challenge for the newly created National Distribution Sales Manager will be to strategically and tactically develop the company’s distribution channel market. This will require the manager to not only become fully indoctrinated in the company’s wide rage of products but to evaluate and recommend new distribution policies that will create a stronger presence for the company with major distributors servicing the OEM markets.
The position will be a strategic partner to the VP of Sales who has a directive to expand the company’s profile in all of its sales channels.
Requirements:
To do this well, the National Distribution Manager chosen will have to have a strong background in working with major distributors at the corporate level and at the branch levels and a firm understanding and technical knowledge of RF interconnect products.
This experience will be tactical through direct experience dealing with these targeted distributors from a vendor’s side or will have come from practical experience working with a major RF/electronics distributor. The strategic experience will come from successful responsibility where distribution programs were reorganized and/or improved.
Technology:
Preference will be given to candidates coming from an RF hardware product line background. The client wants to ensure that technical leadership and hands-on service and encouragement can be easily given to the distributors to help them feel comfortable supporting the product line in competition with other similar lines that might be carried.
Specific experience with RF coaxial connectors, and related interconnect products (cable assemblies, antennas, combiners, multipin and hybrids) also is sought from the right candidate.
Education:
College with technical degree preferred

100,000+ target
